About Kalie P. Walker
Hey! My name is Kalie Walker. I'm originally from Pembroke, Massachusetts but moved to Washington, D.C. for college. I attend American University where I’m studying journalism and marketing.
I am a Staff Editor at AWOL, AU's investigative magazine, which focuses on long-form journalism. I edit about nine stories a semester and write a few of my own, where I focus on topics I’m passionate about, including housing and local communities. I've also freelanced for the Cape Cod Times, covering transportation, community and housing. I've loved writing since I was a kid and found that journalism has let me express that. In my free time, I enjoy writing, crocheting and baking. |
